Phillip Burt Sites, 77, died January 8, 2013 in Del Ray Beach, Fla.
He was born July 1, 1935, in Bronson, Mich., to Burt and Gula Sites.
He was a resident of Deerfield Beach, Boynton Beach and Sarasota, Fla., for the last 45 years. He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1955 until honorably discharged in 1962. He served received the Gold Conduct Award. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and a Master’s degree in Hospital Administration from Indiana University. He worked in hospital administration throughout Florida and received many awards for excellence in service. He served in many capacities for the Florida Nursing Home Association and was appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to the State Board for Retired People. He was also president of the Rotary Club. He retired in 2006 from Avante Health Care after many years of dedicated service in the field.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly P. Sites; six children, Scott Sites, Dawn Sites, Dave Lindsay, Bob Lindsay, Julie Hatton and Jill Hoehn; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Sandra Sites, and one brother, Corwin (Wayne) Sites.
