Officials at Parkview LaGrange Hospital have announced that LaGrange Parkview Physicians Group primary care and specialty physicians donated $30,000 to the Parkview LaGrange Foundation in 2012.
“This is just another example of our commitment to the communities we serve. It’s not just the Parkview Health mission, but it’s also the mission of the physicians who provide care here,” said Dr. James Stapel, chief medical officer of Parkview Physicians Group.
“As physicians in the local community, we see the needs here in LaGrange County and we have seen the many ways the Parkview LaGrange Foundation works to help fill them,” said Dr. Rhonda Sharp of Parkview Physicians Group-Family Medicine. “The MAP program has helped several of my patients with their medications and this is just one example that comes to mind. We are glad to help support the foundation in these initiatives.”
“On behalf of everyone at Parkview LaGrange Hospital Foundation, we’d like to thank our physicians for their generous donation, and for providing excellent care to the people of LaGrange, each and every day,” said Parkview LaGrange Hospital COO Rob Myers.
The Parkview LaGrange Foundation supports hospital clinical programs and services through charitable gifts and grants. Among ongoing foundation initiatives are the Medication Assistance Program (MAP) that provides financial support to uninsured and underinsured patients for their medicines and the Special Touch Program that provides patients with non-medical assistance during an emergency. The programs are greatly valued by patients and contribute toward good health.
All donations to the Parkview LaGrange Foundation remain in the county for continued improvement of the hospital’s services, facilities, equipment and programs. For more information about becoming involved in these or other Parkview LaGrange Foundation initiatives, call (260) 463-9004.
