Parkview LaGrange receives VISION award

The Indiana Lions Eye and Tissue Transplant Bank presented the 2011 VISION award to Parkview LaGrange Hospital for exemplary dedication and commitment to their donor program and the community they serve.

In 2011, Parkview LaGrange Hospital was responsible for making a difference in the lives of 10 individuals through the gift of sight. In the past five years, over 36 people have had cornea transplants due to their efforts and the generosity of the LaGrange community.

“These are our family members, friends and neighbors who now have their vision restored thanks to the kindness and dedication shown at Parkview LaGrange Hospital,” said Sarah Knuth, hospital development coordinator for the Indiana Lions Eye and Tissue Transplant Bank. “We are honored to present this award to Parkview LaGrange Hospital for their continued improvement, the dedication to their families, and their commitment to helping restore vision through corneal transplants.”
