Panther girls lose shootout at Lakewood Park

 

Prairie Heights lost an 84-75 shootout at Lakewood Park last Thursday night in varsity girls basketball.

Nicole Faur poured in 21 points and Suzanne Grimm swished 20 in leading the Lakewood Park squad to its 15th victory in 19 decisions. Courtney Sliger chipped in 15 markers to the winning cause, while Natalie Matera netted 13.

Shawna Carbone racked up some impressive numbers for Prairie Heights before fouling out in the fourth quarter. The junior forward scored a career-high 31 points, canning 11 field goals and 9-11 free throw tries. She also grabbed a team-best 12 rebounds.

Tressa Terry added 17 points, six boards, six assists and five steals to the Heights ledger.
