Prairie Heights secured a winning NECC campaign last Friday night with a 66-39 romp over visiting Hamilton.

With the win, coach Brett Eltzroth’s Panthers wound up the league slate at 6-4, tying them with Fremont and Eastside for fourth place in the final conference standings.

Heights raced to a 23-14 lead after one period, then used a 25-5 burst in the second to build a commanding, 48-19 edge.

Jacob Heller and Bobby Blum topped the Panther scoresheet with 17 and 16 markers, respectively. Heller went 5-7 from the field and 5-6 from the foul stripe, while Blum connected on 7-9 floor attempts. Both players hit a couple of three-pointers.

The 11-11 Panthers face either LaVille or Fremont in the semifinals of the Westview sectional this Friday.
