Panther Boys nip Howe

 

Prairie Heights built a 25-point lead on The Howe School in the third quarter, then withstood a furious, Wildcat rally to hang on for a 59-57 varsity boys basketball triumph last Friday night.

Jacob Heller collected 16 points and four assists to lead the Panthers, who held a 54-29 advantage in the second half and took a 54-37 edge into the final frame. Woody Riha chipped in 11 points, six rebounds and six assists to the winning cause. Kyler West added 10 points.

Arnas Zabarauskas led a trio of Howe School players in double figures with 20 points. Renatas Issak was next with 18 markers and Henrikas Gelgota finished with 11.

Issak also snared nine rebounds and recorded six blocked shots for the Wildcats. Gelgota had six assists and four steals.
