Pandas for the Pooches at Parkside Elementary

Parkside Elementary School in LaGrange is kicking off “Pandas for the Pooches” to help the Ark Animal Sanctuary secure tarps for the dog runs to hold off the winter winds for the dogs and cats.

Each class will have a special container in their classroom with a picture of a sanctuary dog or cat that is looking for their forever home. The students will be collecting pennies and nickels and voting for the dog or cat that they think has the special honor of being adopted. The contest began November 4 and runs through November 13 with the winning dog or cat coming to Parkside to get two special kisses from Principal Mueller and Assistant Principal Iddings.

The students will decorate the tarps with special sayings, handprints and their names.   The contest runs through parent/teacher conferences and a special Veterans Day celebration at Parkside.

Anyone who would like help by contributing to the project can contact Parkside Elementary at 260-499-2430.
