Paddle event a great success

Participants and sponsors of the Paddle for Parkview fundraiser on August 6, 2015 raised $9000 to help meet patient needs through the Parkview LaGrange Foundation’s “Special Touch” and “Medication Assistance Program (MAP).” In addition, paddlers and others filled a canoe with in-kind gifts of toys, board games, videos and more. These items will help supplement Parkview LaGrange Hospital’s pediatric distraction kits and the monthly game night offered local seniors by LifeBridge Senior Program.

“Many thanks to our Paddle for Parkview host sponsor, Famers State Bank, and to our boat sponsors, Rhonda Sharp, MD, PPG-Family Medicine, and staff of the LifeBridge Senior Program for their generosity and support,” said Sherri Johnston, coordinator of the Parkview LaGrange Foundation.

Donations to the Parkview LaGrange Foundation are used to support innovative programs, such as the Medication Assistance Program which provides emergency medication for those who do not have the personal resources or insurance benefits to cover the cost and the Special Touch fund which funds emergency resources for patients and their families in times of crisis.
