One injured in Monday crash

A Bronson, Mich., man was injured Monday afternoon when another vehicle backed out onto the roadway in front of his motorcycle.

According to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department, around 1:50 p.m. on August 25, Taylor Miller, 22, of Sturgis, Mich., was backing a 2011 Chevrolet 2500 pickup and trailer onto the roadway from a field on CR 750N near CR 900E and reportedly did not see a 2006 Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle driven by Stanley VanBlarcom, 69, of Bronson, Mich., due to brush and a dip in the roadway.

VanBlarcom attempted to stop, but was unable to avoid striking the trailer. VanBlarcom was treated at the scene for chest and rib pain.
