Notestine takes part in Mackinac Bridge Walk

LaGrangeCounty resident Florence Notestine joined an estimated 45,000 people over Labor Day to walk across the Mackinac Bridge, which spans five miles across the straits connecting the upper and lower Michigan.

Notestine said that this is the sixth time she has walked the bridge. Notestine, 95, said she completed the walk in around 1 hour 42 minutes.

Among those who walked the bridge was Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, who crossed the bridge in just over an hour.
