Noble Invitational golf results

Both Prairie Heights and Westview teed off their 2014 boys golf seasons this past Saturday by competing in the annual East Noble Invitational held at a windy Noble Hawk Golf Links in Kendallville.

The Panthers, led by Nick Bennett’s 86, placed ninth over all with a team count of 405 strokes. The Warriors wound up with a mark of 414, putting them in 10th position.

Leo took home the team championship with a score of 324. Fort Wayne Canterbury was second with 332.

Michael Brothers of Canterbury and East Noble’s Andy Krettler each fired rounds of 75 to tie for medalist honors. One stroke back with a 76 was Michael Sharp of the host Knights.

Following Bennett on the Prairie Heights scoresheet was Cole Lorntz with a 98. Tyler Wasikowski carded a 104, Gunnar Penick a 117 and Jackson Neeley a 120.

Logan Miller paced Westview with a 97. Trey Zabona had a 104, Skyler Reynolds a 106, Cody Litwiller a 107 and Seth Schrock a 124.
