Nelson L. Miller, 74, Shipshewana, died Monday, December 24, 2012 at his residence.
He was born December 19, 1938, in Hicksville, Ohio, to Joe E. and Edna (Coblentz) Miller.
He was a farmer, horse trainer and worked construction.
He was married October 22, 1959 to Ada E. Yoder. She survives.
Also surviving are five daughters, Dorothy (Denis) Graber, Leo, Doris (Marlin) Graber, Grabill, Betty (Steve) Miller, Goshen, Katy (Mervin) Miller, Shipshewana, Anna (Gary) Bontrager, Vandalia, Mich.; two sons, Nelson Jr. (Rachel) Miller, Middlebury, and Jay (Ellen) Miller, Elkhart; 34 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six sisters, Ruth Ann (Gerald) Hostetler, Marion, Mich., Naomi (Wayne) Yoder, Middlebury, Lois (Lamar) Schmucker, New Paris, Mary Boeger, Sarasota, Fla., Linda Graber, Ft. Wayne, and Louise (Arlin) Stutzman, Ligonier; four brothers, Joe Jr. (Ruth) Miller, Arlington, Texas, Ray (Velma) Miller, Shipshewana, Ervin (Marie) Miller, Spencerville, and Paul Miller, Sarasota, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Mary Magdalena, one sister, Wilma Miller, and his stepmother, Barbara Miller.
Services were held Thursday, December 27, at Maple City Chapel in Goshen with Reverend Mel Shetler and Reverend David Garty officiating.
Burial is in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury.
