Nelma VonOlnhausen,86, Sebring, Fla., formerly of Sturgis, Mich., died Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Summers Hospice House in Sebring, Fla.
She was born January 29, 1926, in LaGrange County, to Scott and Mignon (Walker) Wetzel.
Living in Sturgis, Mich., from 1969 to 1998, when she moved to Sebring, Fla., she retired from the Harter Corporation in Sturgis after 19 years.
She was married August 26, 1945, in LaGrange County, to Carl E. VonOlnhausen. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1994.
Surviving are three daughters, Tanya Ray and Vicki (Jerry) Bowdish, both of Sebring, Fla., and Cindy (Mike) Usry, Kansas City, Kan.; eight grandchildren, Lisa Pearson, Michele Schlabach, John Ray, Craig Ray, Shawn McCullough, Chantell Hunsucker, Terry Lewis and Sherry Walkup; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donnadine Herendeen and Coralie Baker; one brother, Voris “Hank” Wetzel; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Scott Von-Olnhausen, one sister, Klea Gay, two brothers, Max Wetzel and A.J. Wetzel, and a son-in-law, John Ray.
Visitation is 3-4:45 p.m. Saturday, December 22, at Hackman Family Funeral Homes – Rosenberg Chapel in Sturgis, Mich.
Services will be 5 p.m. Saturday, December 22, at Hackman Family Funeral Homes – Rosenberg Chapel in Sturgis, Mich., with Reverend Lawrence Green officiating.
Private burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Sturgis, Mich.
