Nadine H. Halsey, 87, LaGrange, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at her residence.
She was born February 7, 1927, in Jonesboro, Ark., to William D. and Maggie Bell (Pierce) Coleman.
Living in LaGrange County since 1944, she was a nursing aide and also worked at Starcraft in Topeka and at Kirsch Company in Sturgis, Mich. She was a member of Five Corners Baptist Church in Wolcottville.
She was married December 22, 1944, in San Bernardino, Calif., to CM John Halsey. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2002.
Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Patrick, LaGrange, and Charlotte Janes, Howe; two sons and daughters-in-law, John D. and Diane Halsey, LaGrange, and Jack and Ellen Emerick, Hudson, Ind.; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon K. Hunter, a son-in-law, Wayne Janes, one great-grandson, three sisters, and four brothers.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 21, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 22, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Reverend Clarence Combs officiating.
Burial will be in Brushy Chapel Cemetery, rural LaGrange.
