Eldon Christner and Roger Penrose of Mishler Packing Company recently attended the annual convention of the Indiana Meat Packers and Processors Association, held in West Lafayette, Ind.
They entered products in the Hoosier Cured Meats Show, which is part of the convention. A total of 123 different products entered were judged on flavor and workmanship. Judging was provided by professional meat scientists and national award winning meat producers from other areas of the country.
Mishler’s received two Reserve Champion awards, one for their bone-in ham and one for bologna.
