One person was treated for neck pain after a crash on US 20 at CR 1150W just after 11:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
According to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department, an SUV driven by Robert Jarolim, 77, of CR 445E was stopped on CR 1150W facing south when he pulled onto US 20 and struck a trailer being pulled by an eastbound pickup.
Jarolim’s vehicle spun around, struck the trailer a second time, and continued off the roadway and into a dry retention pond. Due to damage to the SUV’s door, Jarolim needed to be extracted by Shipshewana Fire Department personnel. He was treated for minor neck pain.
The driver of the pickup and trailer, Bryan Stout, 25, Middlebury was uninjured.
Jarolim was cited for failure to yield at a through highway.
