Minor injuries in Tuesday accident

    The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department was called to a one-car traffic accident at 2 p.m. on June 18 near Prairie Heights High School.

According to the police report, Robert Lambert, 72, of Stroh was driving southbound on CR 1180E south of US 20 when for unknown reasons his vehicle drove off of the east side of the road and into a ditch. The vehicle struck the embankment of a driveway, ramped over the drive, and landed in the ditch opposite the driveway. The car came to rest in the yard of Prairie Heights High School.

Lambert was treated by LaGrange County EMS for minor cuts and bruises, as well as back pain.

Fire departments from Mongo and Stroh assisted at the scene.
