Michael David "Mikey" Holcomb II, 36, died Friday, July 13, 2012 as the result of injuries sustained in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident in downtown Indianapolis, Ind.
He was born March 29, 1976, in LaGrange, to Michael Sr. and Pastor Donna Holcomb.
Living in the Indianapolis area for several years, he was a graduate of Prairie Heights High School and obtained a computer science degree from Purdue University and an additional certification as a project manager. He worked in the technical field and was currently a project manager for tech firm Apparatus in Indianapolis.
Surviving are his parents, Michael Sr. and Pastor Donna Holcomb, rural LaGrange; his twin brother Travis (Jennie) Holcomb, Wolcottville; two nephews, Reed Michael and Luke Holcomb; one niece, Rachel Holcomb; grandmother Carole Rude, Middletown, Ind.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Howard and Ruby Holcomb and great-grandparents Lester and Edith (Wise) Holcomb.
A Celebration of a Life Well Lived will be held Saturday, July 21, at the Prairie Heights School farm on US 20. Family and friends will gather to share memories starting at 10 a.m., with the celebration service starting at 1 p.m. Casual summer dress is encouraged.
The Mike Holcomb Memorial Group has been set up on Facebook and friends and family are invited to share memories.
