Meth lab items found in trunk of vehicle being repossessed

On July 24, a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier registered to Jeremy Ellis was being repossessed. During the recovery of the vehicle, Ellis’ parents were allowed to remove personal property from the vehicle.

    According to the police report, when the trunk was opened, the wrecker driver found numerous items used in for the manufacture of methamphetamine.

    The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team was called in to process the vehicle. They took control of the chemicals and rendered the vehicle safe for repossession.
