Meth lab found after tip

 

The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department received a tip on July 13 about possible illegal drug activity at a residence in the 6000E block of CR 200S.

At the residence, officers detained Anthony W. Owens, 45, of LaGrange and Nicole M. Hochstetler, 26, of CR 200S.

According to the police report, officers allegedly observed paraphernalia and what they believed to be methamphetamine and other items used in the manufacturing of meth at the residence.

Officers requested and obtained a search warrant. The report noted that active meth labs were processed by the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team.

Owens was taken to the LaGrange County Jail on preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursors, Visiting a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Hochstetler had preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursors, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Paraphernalia filed.

The report noted that an additional charge of manufacturing meth is being reviewed by the LaGrange County Prosecutor’s Office.
