The Olivia B. Lemings Memorial Scholarship is offered through the LaGrange County Community Foundation to young women graduating from Lakeland who have played basketball throughout high school. It was created by family and community in memory of an outstanding and popular Lakeland basketball player who tragically lost her life in an automobile accident in 1996.
The Hardin Memorial Scholarship was created at the community foundation in memory of Virgil and Florence Hardin who shared a profound commitment to community service in LaGrange County through more than 50 years of marriage. It is offered countywide to traditional and non-traditional students pursuing a career in the health care field.
