Melba Fleischauer

Melba J. Fleischauer, 74, LaGrange, died Sunday, December 11, 2011 at her residence.

She was born April 26, 1937 in Claypool, Ind., to Dewey and Iva (Hoppes) Rhoades.

She from South Bend, Ind., to LaGrange in 1964, she was a homemaker and a member of the LaGrange Church of God.

She was married July 6, 1956, in Pierceton, Ind., to Robert D. Fleischauer. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2011.

Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Shirley Fleischauer, Albuquerque, N.M., and Kathryn and Charles Hopper, LaGrange; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Beverly Fleischauer, LaGrange; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Wanda Hoover, LaGrange, and Norma Tethrake, Milford, Ind.; and three brothers, Arden Rhoades, Warsaw, Phil Rhoades, Goshen, and Ed Rhoades, Oelwein, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by one son, Dale R. Fleischauer, one sister, Donna Troup, and one brother, Max Rhoades.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 15, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 16, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Reverend Brian VanOsdol officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.
