Max T. Ringler, 66, Fremont, Ind., formerly of LaGrange County, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at his residence.
He was born September 12, 1946, in Sturgis, Mich., to Chancey and Wannetta (Wilson) Ringler.
He retired in 2008 after 41 years of service at Metaldyne in Fremont, Ind. He attended Fremont School, where he ran track, and was a member of the Fremont Moose Lodge.
He was married September 26, 1964 to Donna Jean Cope. She preceded him in death on October 5, 2009.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Wendy Teachout, Fremont, Ind., Teresa and Paul Venzke, Fremont, Ind., and Jo Ann and Kevin Chiddister, Florida; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Tony and Pamela Ringler and Terry Ringler, all of Fremont, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Wayne and Judy Ringler, Fremont, Ind., Sam and Sharon Ringler, Mongo, Bill Ringler, Three Rivers, Mich., and Raymond and Bobbie Ringler, Indianapolis, Ind.; and his mother-in-law, Betty Cope, Fremont, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Kenny Teachout, three brothers, Tom, Frank, and Jerry Ringler, two sisters, Betty and Bonnie, and his father-in-law, Eugene Cope.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 6, at Beams Funeral Home in Fremont, Ind., with Reverend Jon Bruney officiating.
Burial is in Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, Ind.
