Calling all gardeners! Save the date of Saturday, March 22, 2014, on your calendar for the 8th Annual Spring Gardening Symposium presented by Purdue Master Gardeners of Lagrange County. The hours will be from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the Town Center in Shipshewana, Indiana.
This year’s theme is “March Into Spring 2014.” Topics include “Herbs and Aromatherapy” by Rosemary Marcon, Master Gardener and Herbalist; “Organic Gardening” by Steve Engleking, Purdue Extension Educator; “Bee-Informed” by David Traylor, Master Gardener and Beekeeper; and “Going Native-Using Native Plants in Your Landscape” by Marjorie Hershman, Pokagon State Park naturalist.
There will be vendors on site with a variety of products, and also a silent auction with various items just waiting for your bid. In addition there will be door prizes awarded throughout the day.
