Mary Ellen Yoder, 71, Shipshewana, died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at her residence.
She was born October 24, 1942, in LaGrange County, to Leo M. and Mima LuElla (Miller) Yoder.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She was married September 2, 1965, in LaGrange County, to Marvin W. Yoder. He survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Esther L. (Perry Jr.) Hershberger, Middlebury, Dorothy E. (Orva L.) Beechy, Shipshewana, Fannie I. (Scott) Miller, LaGrange, and Barbara A. (Gary) Magallanes, Warren, Mich.; four sons, Jerry D. (Susan) Yoder, Middlebury, Ervin L. Yoder, Gregory, Mich., William L. (Aimee) Yoder, Plymouth, Mich., and Kenneth D. Yoder, Kendallville; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Edna Beechy, Watoma, Wisc., Alta M. (Ervin) Miller, LaGrange, and Katie I. (Joe N.) Miller, LaGrange; one brother, John J. (Katie) Yoder, LaGrange; and a brother-in-law, Melvin (Elsie) Yoder, Homer, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two stillborn great-granddaughters; one sister, Susie Yoder, and a brother-in-law, Aaron Beechy.
Funeral service was held Sunday, June 29, at the Christie Schlabach residence, 155 Union St. in Shipshewana, with Bishop Jerry Miller and Minister Virgil Hershberger and Minister David Wingard officiating.
Burial is in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana.
