Mary Ellen Boylan, 96, Wolcottville, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla.
She was born February 6, 1917, in Portage, Wisc., to Charles E. and Agnes (Lehan) Boylan.
Moving from Wisconsin to this area in 1970, she worked in the therapy department at Kneipp Springs of Rome City for eight years.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, her parish friends at St. Gaspar, and her Amish neighbors and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine Fargo and Sister Mary Roberta, and six brothers, John L. Boylan, Peter J. Boylan, Charles E. Boylan, Andres J. Boylan, Matthew Boylan, and Francis Boylan.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, April 6, at St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City with Father Bernard Ramenaden officiating.
Burial is in St. Gaspar Catholic Cemetery.
