Martha L. Elston, 80, Avilla, Ind., died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla.
She was born August 6, 1931, in Wayland, Ky., to Edgil and Minnie (Griffith) Wicker.
Living most of her life in Indiana, she moved from Bremen, Ind., to Avilla in 2010. She was a waitress for many years.
Surviving are six daughters and five sons-in-law, Charlotte and Gary Minnick, Evansville, Ind., Patricia and Greg Marshall, Brandon, Fla., Deborah Elston, Momence, Ill., Pamela and Bob Parisher, San Antonio, Texas, Theresa and Brett Master, Panama City, Fla., and Sheila and Bruce Okeley, Wolcottville; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Dean and Helen Elston, Bremen, Ind., and Tim Elston, Plymouth, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ann Olson, Bourbonnais, Ill., Linda Allen, St. Pete, Fla., and Janet Swagert, St. Pete, Fla.; and five brothers, Clarence Wicker, Lebonan, Mo., Jim Wicker, St. Pete, Fla., Harold Wicker, Lancaster, Ohio, Doug Wicker, Winchester, Ind., and Don Wicker, Wheatfield, Ind.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Sunday, January 22, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Reverend Theresa Master and Reverend Brett Master officiating.
