Marijuana reportedly found in Cedar Lake home

An investigation into alleged drug activity at a Cedar Lake residence led deputies from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department to obtain a search warrant for a house located on CR 310E.

Officers and K-9 units from the sheriff’s department, along with Indiana State Police, served the search warrant the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 17. According to the sheriff’s department, once inside the home officers located marijuana along with a small amount of methamphetamine. Officers also discovered numerous items of drug paraphernalia, the report noted.

Two arrests were made in the investigation.

Richard A. Christensen, 47, of CR 310E was taken to the LaGrange County Jail on preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class D Felony; Possession of Marijuana Over 30 Grams, a Class D Felony; Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a Class D Felony; and Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Sandra Bradley, 52, of Sturgis, Mich., was arrested on a preliminary charge of Visiting a Common Nuisance, a Class B Misdemeanor.
