Marietta Yoder, 92, Topeka, died Friday, February 22, 2013 at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen, Ind.
She was born December 9, 1920, in Goshen, Ind., to Melvin J. and Lillie (Hostetler) Yoder.
She graduated from Goshen High School and was a beauty operator in Goshen for eight years. She then worked with her husband at Yoder Farm Service in Topeka. She was a member of Topeka Mennonite Church, serving as choir leader for 20 years.
She was married Sept. 24, 1949, in Goshen, Ind., to Maynard Yoder. He preceded her in death in November 1998.
Surviving are two granddaughters, Sabrina (Bob) Penick, Topeka, and Wendy (Scott) Griffith, Goshen; three great-grandchildren, Madison Penick, and Jack and Sydney Griffith; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Kyle and Korey Penick.
She was preceded in death by one son, Tom Yoder, two sisters, and three brothers.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday, February 25, at Topeka Mennonite Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, at Topeka Mennonite Church with Pastor Robert Martz officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Topeka.
