Marie Jean Huber, 95, Wolcottville, died Monday, June 11, 2012, at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville.
She was born June 20, 1916, in Pennsylvania, to Earl F. and Fern Luela (Bailey) Randolph.
Moving from Pennsylvania to the area in 1949, she retired after 30 years as a registered nurse at McCray Memorial Hospital in Kendallville, where she worked in the obstetrics department. She was a member of the South Milford United Methodist Church and the Women’s Society of Christian Services. After retirement, she spent the winter in Florida.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy J. and Michael Smith, St. Joe; one son and his companion, Jon Huber and Faye Borcherding, Wolcottville; seven grandchildren, Trent Huber, Kendallville, Ind., Kellie Malone, Kendallville, Ind., Jordon Huber, Wolcottville, Jon DePew, Angola, Ind., Jim DePew, LaGrange, Les Smith, Kendallville, Ind., and Jesse Smith, St. Joe; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice C. “Cal” Huber, on December 22, 1984, one daughter, Marcia E. Huber, and one brother, Joe Randolph.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
