An early morning traffic stop Tuesday led to the arrest of a Wolcottville man on charges of possession of methamphetamine.
According to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department, Christopher N. Meyers, 27, of CR 450S was arrested in October 2011 for possession of methamphetamine and was out on bond in that case.
According to the police report, a deputy from the LaGrange County stopped Meyers’ van for an alleged traffic violation. During the traffic stop, the deputy requested a K-9 unit. Deputy Emelander and his K-9 partner Tyson responded to the stop and Tyson performed a sniff search of the vehicle.
As a result of the search, deputies located methamphetamine in the vehicle.
Meyers was the only occupant of the vehicle and was arrested on a preliminary charge of Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class D Felony.
