Man accused of break-ins

On June 28, deputies from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call regarding a disorderly subject at Pioneer Trailer Park on SR 9.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers came into contact with a male subject indentified as Kevin White of Three Rivers, Mich. According to the police report, White had severe trauma to his right arm and was bleeding profusely. While deputies attempted to administer first aid to White, he became belligerent and verbally abusive toward the officers and physically resisted when officers attempted to control the bleeding.

Upon being restrained, medics were requested to the scene to take White for treatment at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. Upon further investigation, it was found that White had broken a window out of a residence, showering a 5-year-old female inside the residence with glass. The female was transported to Parkview LaGrange for glass in her eyes.

Statements were taken from other residents at the park that White had attempted to force his way into other homes while he was looking for a dog that allegedly belonged to his girlfriend. The dog had been picked up earlier in the day by the LaGrange Animal Shelter after reports of abandonment.

White was transported to Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne for surgery due to the extensive injuries to his arm.

Charges have been filed on White with LaGrange County prosecutors for Criminal Recklessness, a Class D Felony, Residential Entry, a Class D Felony, Disorderly Conduct, a Class B Misdemeanor, and Resisting Law Enforcement.
