Mae C. Bollinger, 81, LaGrange, died Monday, January 28, 2013 at her residence.
She was born December 28, 1931, in Vandalia, Ill., to John and Lula (Moore) Cunningham.
Moving from Noble County to LaGrange County in 1962, she was a homemaker, schoolteacher, and a deputy clerk in the LaGrange County Treasurer’s Office. She was a member of Sturgis Church of Christ and women of the church, taught Bible school for 30 years, acted as the church treasurer, and played the piano for the church. She was also a member of the LaGrange County Literacy Council and Indiana Auctioneer’s Auxiliary, and hosted four foreign exchange students.
She was married June 25, 1959, in Angola, Ind., to Kirby L. Bollinger. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1994.
Surviving are three daughters and one son-in-law, Shari C. and David Graber, White Pigeon, Mich., Vikki L. Bollinger and Tiffany S. Vrell, both of LaGrange; one son and daughter-in-law, Thad D. and Lovelyn S. Bollinger, Howe; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Bessie Jones, Mulberry Grove, Ill.; and one brother, Ross Cunningham, Mulberry Grove, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Grace Hake and Faye Dettloff, and one brother, Russell Cunningham.
Services were held Wednesday, January 30, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Reverend George Cleverly officiating.
Burial is in South Milford Cemetery, South Milford, Ind.
