Madeline Evelyn Duncan,95, Sturgis, Mich., died Friday, May 11, 2012 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis, Mich.
She was born July 14, 1916 in Kosciusko County, Ind., to William M. and Florence M. (Reed) Cleveland.
Living in the Burr Oak, Mich., and Sturgis, Mich., area most of her life, she was a homemaker and babysat in her home. She was a member of the former Gateway Church of God of Sturgis.
Surviving are five nieces, Joan Bennett, LaGrange, Rheta Yoder, Dunlap, Ind., Wilma (Gene) Foreman, Constantine, Mich., Dorothy Duncan, Three Rivers, Mich., and Ann Phillips, Grand Rapids, Mich.; three nephews, Leland (Pauline) Cleveland, Orland, Larry (Maureen) Cleveland, Elkhart, and Max J. (Nancy) Cleveland, LaGrange; special longtime friends Gary and Nila Mills, Sturgis, Mich.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Duncan, on August 14, 1968.
Services were held Tuesday, May 15, at Hackman Family Funeral Homes Hackman Chapel in Sturgis, Mich., with Pastor Lorraine Bolley officiating.
Burial is in Burr Oak Cemetery, Burr Oak, Mich.
