Mackenna McGraw crowned the 4-H fair queen

    On Saturday night, Bethel college student Mackenna McGraw was named Miss LaGrange County 2013.

    McGraw went up against seven other competing girls in the queen contest. She is the daughter of Brad and Lori McGraw. As the new queen, McGraw earned a $500 scholarship and $250 in cash. The next step is the State Fair, where McGraw will represent her county and compete for the Miss Indiana 2013 title.

    In addition to her crown, McGraw won $650 for the People’s Choice Award, a prize granted by the pageant audience.

    Prairie Heights High School student Allison Young won first runner up. The daughter of Allen and Jennifer Young, she won a $250 scholarship and a $100 cash prize.

    Elizabeth Kratz, also a Prairie Heights student, was named second runner up this year and won $150 total. Kratz is the daughter of Dennis and Laura Kratz.

    Tiffany Bontrager, daughter of Rod and Jodi Bontrager, won third runner up. She will be a Junior at Ball State University. In addition to the title of Miss Congeniality, Bontrager earned a $75 scholarship and a $25 cash prize.
