Lurene Mullins

Lurene Mullins, 78, Sebring, Fla., formerly of Shipshewana, died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at her residence.

    She was born August 12, 1937, in Jolo, W.V., to Dave and Mary (Pruitt) Kennedy.

    She worked at Steury Boats in New Paris, Ind., and Glass Tech in Middlebury before moving to Florida in July 2012.

    Surviving are one daughter, Mary (Chris) Tubbs, Sebring, Fla.; one son, Grevil J. Gene (Doris) Hagerman, Virginia; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, including two she adopted, Ariel and Dakota Mullins; three great-great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Barbara Lopez, Goshen, Helen Cole, White Mountain, Virg., Daisy Kennedy, Three Forks, W.V., and Lucy Hatfield, Sweetwater, Tenn.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Grevil Lewis Hagerman and Preston Mullins, four daughters, infant Brenda K. Hagerman, Ruby L. Rose, Jolene Evans, and Kathy Hern; one sister, Alice Blakely, and two brothers, James and Virgil Kennedy.

    Funeral service was held Monday, August 17, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home in Goshen, Ind., with Reverend Rick Pirtle officiating.

    Burial is in Violett Cemetery.

    Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.

    Yoder-Culp Funeral Home in Goshen was in charge of arrangements.
