LoveWay to celebrate 40th anniversary

LoveWay, Inc. Therapeutic Equestrian Services in Middlebury will host its annual Derby Day Auction on Saturday, May 18.  The event will be held in the Crystal Ballroom at the Lerner Theatre in Elkhart.

Derby Day, patterned after the Kentucky Derby, will feature an array of live and silent auction items.  One of the most unique live auction items is a weekend getaway to Indianapolis featuring two tickets to the Indianapolis 500 along with lodging at a nearby deluxe condo.

Vince Turner, a familiar face at fundraising events, will serve as emcee and auctioneer. This year guests can place bets with real money and will have the chance to split the winnings with LoveWay. Guests are encouraged to wear Derby Day attire. A prize will be awarded to the person with the best hat.

Reserved tables of eight along with donor recognition are available along with individual tickets. Heavy hors d’oeuvres along with beer and wine are included in the ticket price. A cash bar will also be available.

For more information or to purchase tickets, call LoveWay at (574) 825-5666 or e-mail info@ lovewayinc.org.
