Lois Amburgey, 74, LaGrange, died Monday, April 30, 2012 at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville.
She was born January 13, 1938, in Hazard, Ky., to Robert Lee and America (Sizemore) Polley.
Living most of her life in LaGrange County, she was a homemaker and worked as a toymaker at Transogram in Sturgis, Mich., and also at the snack shop at Miller’s Merry Manor of LaGrange. She was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle in Kimmell, Ind.
She was married April 26, 1969, in Valentine, Ind., to James A. Amburgey. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2008.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Harold R. Jr. Barkdull, Wolcottville; two grandchildren, Harold R. Barkdull III, Goshen, and Rachel (Brandon) Greer, Clarksville, Tenn.; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Polley.
Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday, May 4, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Reverend Glen Patrick officiating.
Burial will be in Brighton Cemetery, Brighton, Ind.
