Lloyd H. Carney, 85, LaGrange, died Friday, October 25, 2013 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
He was born February 28, 1928, in LaGrange, to Delbert I. and Hazel (Loth) Carney.
He owned and operated Carney Oil in LaGrange until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church and a former member of the LaGrange Lions Club.
He was married September 5, 1950, in Dennison, Iowa, to Dorothy E. Baer. She survives.
Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd T. and Melody Carney, South Carolina; two daughters, Sonya K. Spencer, St. Louis, Mo., and Tina L. Carney, Grand Rapids, Mich.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Floyd Summey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Robert Carney, Charles Carney and Howard Carney, and two sisters, Alice Perkins and Margie Ruggley.
Visitation is 3-5 p.m. Friday, November 1, at Carney-Frost Funeral Home in LaGrange.
Memorial service will be 5 p.m. Friday, November 1, at Carney-Frost Funeral Home in LaGrange with Reverend Carldean Merrifield officiating.
