Lizzie Ann Lehman, 97, Shipshewana, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at her residence.
She was born August 7, 1914, in St. Joseph County, Mich., to William D. and Lydia (Yoder) Hochstetler.
She was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She was married December 30, 1934 to Amos J. Lehman. He preceded her in death on September 27, 1980.
Surviving are three daughters, Ruby Ellen (Manass) Miller, Kalona, Iowa, Verna Mae (Alvin) Kuhns, Shipshewana, and Freda (Sam H.) Bontrager, Colon, Mich.; four sons, Ervin Jay (Jane) Lehman, Crossville, Texas, Mahlon L. (Anna) Lehman, Goshen, Wilbur R. (Lizzie) Lehman, Shipshewana, and Alvin A. (Inez) Lehman, Shipshewana; 33 grandchildren; 92 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Ella Chupp, Goshen; and one brother, Albert Hochstetler, Sturgis, Mich.
She was preceded in death by a stillborn son, two grandchildren, five brothers, Amos, Ervin, Alvin, Vane, and Eli Hochstetler, and two sisters, Mary and Sarah.
Services were held Saturday, July 7, at the John Lehman residence, 8860W 450N in Shipshewana, with Bishop Erwin C. Miller and home ministers officiating.
Burial is in Lehman Cemetery, Shipshewana.
