The 2013 LaGrange County Republican Lincoln Day Dinner is set for Thursday evening, May 16. The event will be held at LaGrange American Legion Post 215 with a meet and greet social hour at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m.
The main speaker for the event is Eric Holcomb. He is expected to be introduced by U.S. Representative Marlin Stutzman of Howe. Holcomb was elected state chairman in January 2011. Previously, he served as deputy chief of staff under Governor Mitch Daniels and was also Governor Daniels’ political director and campaign manager for both his 2004 and 2008 campaigns.
In addition to hearing from Holcomb and Stutzman, State Senator Sue Glick and State Representatives Dennis Zent and David Ober are on the program.
Elected county, town and township officials are expected to be in attendance at the dinner. Numerous door prizes will be awarded. Tickets are available from precinct committeepeople or can be purchased from Jennifer McBride at the county recorder’s office in the county office building.
