Students at Lima-Brighton Elementary School in Howe continue to use bottled water and hand sanitizers this week while the school waits for updated water tests that will be completed later this week.
Parents were advised Thursday afternoon that the school was taking precautions after more work was done on the school’s well.
The school’s well lost a pump earlier in November and went on bottled water as a precaution following the pump replacement. The school also had a screen cleaned over the Thanksgiving holiday to help the pump work easier, the letter to the parents stated.
The school expects to get water quality tests back on Wednesday to ensure the water is safe for use.
