LaGrange County Library Events for August

Cards for Grandparents

On August 6 through September 1, the library would like to surprise all the wonderful people in the area nursing homes with a card for Grandparents Day. We need your help, stop in any library location and color a card. It will be delivered to a nursing home resident in time for Grandparents Day!

Tuesdays with Professor Snoozy & Friends

The reading club may be over, but some is not! Take time to cool off with a good story at story time. Story time will take place at the LaGrange County Public Library on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.

Exploring my plate with Professor Popcorn

Professor Popcorn is finishing up the last session in a series on healthy eating and good snack choices. Everyone is welcome! This event is happening for two days: Thursday, August 9 & 10; LaGrange County Public Library at 10:00 a.m., Shipshewana Branch Library at 1:00 p.m., and Topeka Branch Library at 3:00 p.m.

Movie of the Month

On Friday, August 4 at 6:00 p.m. at the LaGrange County Public Library, The Hunger Games will be playing. This movie is PG-13 and children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. There will be free popcorn; you may bring drinks in a covered container.

Family movie night

Bring the whole family out for the movie based on the classic Dr. Seuss book, The Lorax! We provide the popcorn. This event will be held at the Topeka Branch Library on August 10, at 6:00 p.m.

Prickly’s Story Time

The summer fun continues, Join Prickly and her librarian friends for story time fun! This event will take place at the Topeka Branch Library every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
