All branches of the LaGrange County Public Library will be closed on Tuesday, December 31st and Wednesday January 1st.
All branches of the LaGrange County Public Library will be having a program for adults from January 6th to March 1st, 2014. The event is called Ice-Breaking: A Winter Reading Adventure. You can recommend your favorite books and try out other people’s favorites. You can also enter a contest to win a homemade quilt donated by the Friends of the Library. Details are available at any library.
The LaGrange County Public Library will be having its Second Saturday Book Club on January 11th at 11:00 a.m. This month they will be discussing The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
On Saturday, January 25th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. the LaGrange County Public Library will be having a knitting class for adults who have never knitted before. You will learn how to knit, purl, cast on, and cast off. All materials will be supplied and yours to keep. Registration deadline is January 17th and will cost $5 for donation to cover the cost of materials. Please register at the Adult Information Desk at the LaGrange County Public Library, or by calling 260-463-2841 x1030. Registration is not final until the donation for materials is received.
On Wednesday January 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the LaGrange County Public Library will be having genealogy assistance. Volunteers from the LaGrange County Genealogical Society are available in the genealogy department on Wednesdays to help the public with family history questions and challenges.
