On behalf of Lakeland Education Association I would like to thank the following people for their support of the tree dedication to honor the late Tim Sirk, former teacher and coach at Lakeland High School.
Thank you goes to Lakeland School Corporation Administration and School Board. Their support made it possible for us to plant two trees, and we were able to purchase a bronze plaque with an inspiring inscription to remember our friend and co-worker.
Sincere appreciation goes to Dave Patton of Juniper Hill Nursery in Wolcottville for selecting and planting the Aristocrat Pear trees and to Wes Speicher of LaGrange Monument Works for the design of the plaque. LEA is grateful for the willingness of these two business owners who worked with us to make this endeavor possible.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the family and friends who attended the ceremony on the sunny afternoon of April 27th. It was evident that the legacy Tim left behind will live on for many years. Lakeland’s “winningest” coach would tell us to “BELIEVE” and to remember: “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13. We thank God for allowing us to cross paths with and know such a wonderful man.
