A giant thank you goes to the Shipshewana Police Department, the Shipshewana Fire Department, the Alvin and Elsie Miller family for the beautiful flowers and Michael Christner, our parade announcer.

Saturday’s Grand Parade contained 87 entrants! Trophies were awarded to T and L Country Canoe for Best Commercial Entry, the LaGrange County 4-H Dog Club for Best Organization Entry, Chitty Chatty Bang Bang won the Historical-Classical Vehicle Entry, the Happy Days Club Child Evangelism Ministry for their Children’s Division Entry, Paws With a Cause from The Silver Lantern won for the Best Theme and Wilderness Ridge from Chupp Auctions for Best Equestrian Unit. Congratulations to the Parade Grand Marshals, Dan and Dawn Byler, and to Bryan Yoder, a 1st grader at Shipshewana Scott Elementary School, the Grand Prize Art Awards winner.

An extra special thank you needs to go out to Madison Weir, a junior at Westview High School, for designing the 25th Year Anniversary MayFest Logo.

Thank you to the all of the attendees that made Mayfest a huge success, and a big THANK YOU to the Shipshewana community. See you next year!
