Letter To The Editor - Library Thank You

Diane Randall, Director, Library Board of Trustees, and Library Staff

To the Editor:

The LaGrange County Public Library Staff and Board of Trustees would like to send out a heartfelt thank you to the LaGrange County community for the wonderful support for the Summer Reading 2014 program!

This year 1,126 children, teens and adults participated. The Library’s Summer Reading program supports the critical focus areas of early childhood literacy, family literacy and lifelong learning. Summer Reading programs help prevent the learning loss associated with the break from school through the support of continued reading of areas of interest and educational programs.

These community partners contributed to Summer Reading through either funding, donations, or by presenting free educational programming:

The Friends of the LaGrange County Public Library, LaGrange County Community Foundation, Tri Kappa-both the Mu and Associates Chapters, Purdue Extension, LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department, Shipshewana Parks Department, Shipshewana Police Department, Shipshewana Fire Department, Topeka Police Department, Indiana Search and Rescue, WNDU meteorologist Cindi Clawson, Topeka Do It Best Hardware, Topeka Save A Lot, Topeka Subway, H & R Block, E & S Sales, Forks County Line Store, and the Ligonier McDonald’s.
