To the Editor:

The new LaGrange County Corn School Queen Contest Committee would like to take the time to thank everyone that helped make this year a success.

We would also like to thank everyone for their patience with us. As we learn the ropes we hope you will continue to be patient with us.

First of all we would like to thank Patty Mullen for sticking by us and holding the guiding light for us. Without Patty, we would have been left completely in the dark. We can’t express how much we appreciate her and all that she does! Thanks again, Patty!

We would also like to take the time to congratulate all of our beautiful contestants. We hope you ladies all had a wonderful time, and hope to see most of your smiling faces again next year.

HoweSchoolwas represented by Ashley Bockholdt and Winnie Lo, with Winnie winning Miss Congeniality!

PrairieHeightswas represented by Rebekah Frey, Cassandra Glick, Kayla Smith and Kayla Williams. Rebekah was named 2012 Corn School Queen. Kayla Smith won Miss Talent and was named 2nd runner-up.

Westview was represented by Vivien Garber.

LakelandHigh Schoolwas represented by Paige Frost and Allie Kresse. Paige was named 1st runner-up.

Great job to all of you ladies, you did a fantastic job.

Thank you to our judges: Becky Rowe, Kristi Bachman and Cheri Murphy. You ladies really had your work cut out for you.
