Letter To The Editor - Animal Welfare Ass.

Debbie Bontrager, President

Animal Welfare

Association, Inc.

To the Editor:

Animal Welfare Association, Inc. reminds you with the cold weather, please bring your pets in. Just because they have fur does not mean they should be outside.  We know that some of you will not bring your pets inside and recommend straw in your dog houses. Blankets may seem like a good idea but as your pets track snow in it will melt and freeze the blanket. Straw allows the snow and moisture to drip thru and the pets body heat helps keep it warm.  Save blankets for inside pets.

As the end of the year approaches, please remember Animal Welfare Association, Inc in your end of year giving.

We really could use some live traps for the feral/stray/barn cats to be transported for spay/neuter. Monetary donations are always appreciated.  We need a storage shed for our transport crates, 7-8’ wide by 10’ long.

We will continue offer the Spay/Neuter Transports thru 2014. The schedule will continue to be the 2nd Thursday of each Month. The transport is open to anyone who wants to use it.  Stray/feral/barn cats sent down in a live trap are $30 for spay or neuter and includes an ear tip and Rabies shot.
