Larry Davisson

Larry Edward Davisson, 64, Wolcottville, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at his residence on Big Long Lake.

    He was born March 15, 1950, in Rensselaer, Ind., to George and Melcena (Henderson) Davisson.

    He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1970-1976 and worked at Max Platt Ford in Kendallville, Ind., Wible Lumber in South Milford, Ind., Forest River in Middlebury and most recently for Horizon Transport in

Wakarusa, Ind.

    He was married February 13, 1971, in Kendallville, Ind., to Kay L. Shellenbarger. She survives.

    Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Ty and Amanda Davisson, St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter and son-in-law, Laren and Mitch Ogle, Perrysburg, Ohio; six grandchildren, Emma Davisson, Ayla Davisson, Zane Davisson, Rhys Davisson, Olivia Ogle and Eli Ogle; one brother, John Davisson; one sister and brother-in-law, MaryAnn and William Piatt, Springfield, Mo.; and best friend Dave and Debbie Judkins, Big Long Lake.

    He was preceded in death by his parents.

    Memorial service was held Saturday, July 5, at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville, Ind., with Pastor Kevin Carson officiating.

    Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date.
